What are carbohydrates and why we shouldn’t avoid them

Carbohydrates are the body's preferred source of energy, especially for the brain and muscles during physical activity. Consuming carbohydrates helps maintain cognitive function, mood stability, and overall mental performance. Low carbohydrate intake can lead to fatigue, confusion, and difficulty concentrating

When you consume a diet high in carbohydrates, your body tends to hold onto more water due to the glycogen stores. Many people who start a low-carb diet often experience rapid initial weight loss that is primarily due to water loss rather than fat loss.

While reducing carbs can lead to quick weight loss, it’s important to consume enough carbohydrates for energy and to support overall health, especially if you are physically active
